The Indian Ambassador visited the first university in Kyrgyzstan – and this is KRSU!

31 January Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Republics India in the Kyrgyz Republic Arun Kumar Chatterjee as part of the official visit, I met with the leadership of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. It is worth noting that KRSU became the first higher educational institution in Kyrgyzstan that the distinguished guest visited.

The Ambassador was warmly greeted by the rector, academician Vladimir Nifadiev, vice-rector for academic affairs, professor Salavat Usmanov, vice-rector for international relations, professor Leila Sydykova, vice-rector for information and public relations Leonid Sumarokov, and university staff.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, the possibility of opening an India Center on the basis of KRSU was considered. Then representatives of KRSU gave the ambassador a short tour of the Centers of Iranian Studies, Turkology, and the Historical Museum. At the end of the visit Arun Kumar Chatterjee met with students from India studying at KRSU and answered their numerous questions.
