Spring and Unity Festival: Bishkek welcomed Nooruz in an atmosphere of tradition and renewal

In Bishkek, in the park «Yntymak», the celebration of the spring holiday Nooruz took place, bringing together students, teachers and staff of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, as well as residents and guests of the capital.The event was organized by the Public Foundation «Eurasia Kyrgyzstan» together with the October Akimiat of the city of Bishkek. The festive program included concert performances, national and sports games, as well as a variety of interactive areas for children and adults.One of the notable venues was the thematic yurt KRSU, prepared by university students. The exhibition was dedicated to Kyrgyz-Russian relations and reflected the importance of historical memory and continuity of cultural traditions.The celebration included competitions in national sports, including ordo and toguz korgool, as well as team games and relay races. Master classes, creative activities and family recreation areas were organized for visitors. Guests were treated to traditional dishes — sumolok, boorsoks and drinks.Representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the organizers of the event addressed the participants with welcoming words. In their speeches, they noted the importance of Nooruz as a holiday of renewal, unity and social harmony.«In this difficult time for the whole world, I wish our country peace and prosperity», — noted Jogorku Kenesh deputy Bolot Ibragimov.Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Gulya Kozhogulova emphasized the importance of inner peace and harmony: «The most important thing is that each of us has a clean, calm and peaceful soul».Jogorku Kenesh deputy Dastan Bekeshev noted that the spring holiday symbolizes renewal and hope, uniting people around the values of goodness and mutual understanding.Deputy Director of the Public Foundation «Eurasia KG» Renat Aitymbetov emphasized that holding such events helps strengthen public harmony and unites residents of the capital, creating an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.The celebration of Nooruz has become a platform for cultural exchange, strengthening interethnic dialogue and popularizing traditional values, uniting representatives of different generations.
