Representatives of KRSU took part in the First Central Asian School of Public International Law
From August 1 to 6 in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) at KAZGUU named after M.S. Narikbaev attended the First Central Asian Jessup Summer School 2022.
The Philip Jessup– Competition is the oldest and one of the most prestigious competitions for law students from around the world. It takes place in the format of gaming interstate litigation in the International Court of Justice on the most pressing problems of modern international public law. In 2022, more than 650 universities from 100 countries took part in the competition.
Along with students from law universities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, students from the Faculty of Law KRSU also took part in the Summer School. Tamerlan Shakirov, Maryana Tokhtakunova, Diana Supotaeva and Sezim Nurlantbekova studied the basics of public international law for one week, improved their skills in legal writing and oratory. Associate Professor of the Department of International and Constitutional Law KRSU Nazira Tursunbaeva, who accompanied our students, took part in the Summer School trainings organized for trainers. Academics and practitioners with significant experience in preparing and judging the F. Jessup Competition were invited as speakers.
