Teachers from KRSU spoke at an expert session from Altai State University
On June 18, Altai State University hosted the II expert session of the project group «Comprehensive analysis of political and legal systems and ethnopolitical processes in the Turkic-Mongolian world of Greater Altai in historical retrospect and at the present stage».
The co-organizers of the online event, held as part of the project «Turkic-Mongolian World «Greater Altai»: unity and diversity in history and modernity», were the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin (Department of Theory and History of State and Law)
The event was moderated by Doctor of Law, Director of the Altai State University Law Institute A. Vasiliev, Professor of the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumileva Zh. Ibragimov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Altai State University V. Rusanov and Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of Altai State University Yu. Zelenin.
Employees of the Scientific Center for Altaic and Turkic Studies «Big Altai» – Doctor of Historical Sciences addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. S. Grushin, Doctor of Historical Sciences. Yu. Lysenko and Doctor of Law. A. Vasiliev. They noted the great importance of the session for planning and implementing joint scientific research by scientists from different countries of the Turkic-Mongolian world.
The session was attended by leading experts on the history of the state and law of the Turkic-Mongolian world, representing major scientific and educational centers of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. Experts discussed the problems of the formation and evolution of the legal and political system of the Turkic states of the Middle Ages.
Chief researcher of the REC of Altaistics and Turkology «Greater Altai», associate professor of the department of theory and history of the Higher School of Economics R. Pochekaev examined the specifics of the formation of the system of Mongolian imperial justice in the era of Khan Ogedei.
Professor, head of the department of international and constitutional law KRSU (Kyrgyzstan) B. Borubashov focused on the peculiarities of the development of the Kyrgyz state in the early Middle Ages.
Senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences D. Timokhin considered the problem of mentioning the titulature of Turkic rulers when describing the history of the Ghaznavids in «Taba'i‘ al-Khayyavan» al-Marwazi.
Professor of the Kazakh National Agrarian University Z. Ayupova described the traditional religion of the Turks – Tengrism as an open worldview. Her compatriot, professor of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University D. Kusainov continued this topic and dwelled in more detail on the mythological, religious and philosophical foundations of Tengrism.
Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law KRSU G. Suranchieva analyzed the system of government management of the Kyrgyz Khaganate.
Senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yu. Drobyshev voiced the problem of the phenomenon of «immortal» Genghis Khan in the system of international law of the Mongol Empire.
In his closing remarks, the head of the project group, A. Vasiliev, noted the fruitfulness of the event and outlined prospects for further cooperation in joint educational and scientific projects.
