The staff of the Russian Language Department KRSU cordially congratulates you on your anniversary birthday! 75 years – great reference point for a new breath and a new take-off!
We remember very well start your activities at the Russian language department, which you called «your native department». This is understandable. After all, we are all united by a connection with that older generation of linguists of Kyrgyzstan, which laid the foundation for Kyrgyz Russian studies and comparative linguistics – in the person of your scientific mentor, luminary of word formation G. Zenkov, outstanding methodologist P. Kharakoz, beloved professor F. Krasnov, founder of the Faculty of Humanities KRSU A. Orusbaev and other linguists.
With the arrival of KRSU at the Department of Russian Language after defending your doctoral dissertation, you began to form your own scientific direction, in which the methodological idea of teaching the Russian language in a Kyrgyz school through the interpretation of word-formation chains and nests ran through the red line. You were also fascinated by the idea of code switching in the linguistic consciousness of bilinguals and the associated methodological issues and keys to interpreting linguistic pictures of the world. And today your main brainchild – Institute of Russian Language, which should become a stronghold for the preservation of the Russian world in the Central Asian region. And we support you in this!
But your native Kyrgyz language is always in your field of attention. Your students, undergraduates and graduate students study the cognitive structures of the Kyrgyz language in relation to Russian and other languages.
Such a versatile scientific view of a linguist helps you with conviction to implement the high idea of harmonious coexistence of languages and dialogue of cultures in society. I would like to believe that your students will also absorb this idea and bring it to the masses, to the environment of school teachers and further along the chain – like light that spreads like rays.
