Russian-Mongolian relations: from origins to the present
February 19 in the online service of the Institute of Asian Countries and Africa Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, an International Scientific and Practical Conference was held on the topic: «Russian-Mongolian relations: from origins to the present», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Mongolia.
The event was attended by prominent scientists, government and public figures, undergraduate and graduate students from Russia, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Abkhazia, India, Egypt, Turkey and other countries.
The participants paid special attention to the importance and timeliness of this conference, as well as the success of the development of Mongolian-Russian relations in accordance with the concept of a comprehensive strategic partnership. The speakers touched upon pressing issues related to trade, economic, cultural, strategic and political relations between Mongolia and other countries.
At the plenary session, the importance of Mongolian-Russian friendly relations reviving historical and cultural memory was emphasized. One of the sessions was moderated by KRSU professor Gulmira Dzhunushalieva.
Of particular interest to the audience were the messages of teachers KRSU – Professor G. Dzhunushalieva and Associate Professor S. Dzheenbekova, who noted the traditional good neighborliness and comprehensive nature of Mongolia’s relations within the SCO and Mongolia’s geopolitical strategies with the countries of Central Asia, Russia, China and the Asia-Pacific region.
