KRSU student Adelina Mamatova became a participant in an international project for the development of ethnopotential under the auspices of UNESCO
A student of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) Adelina Mamatova took part in the international project «Development of Ethnopotential in Kyrgyzstan», which is held under the auspices of UNESCO. The project was launched in May of this year and is aimed at preserving and popularizing the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.
Nine participants studying in creative specialties, including students from different universities across the country, passed the competitive selection. As part of the project, week-long master classes were organized for participants in Uzbekistan, where they learned traditional crafts — embroidery, wood painting and pottery. In addition, participants attended seminars on Kyrgyz customs, traditional clothing, philosophy, material inscriptions and petroglyphs. In total, the program included 12 thematic blocks.
The project resulted in the creation of their own clothing collections inspired by traditional knowledge and crafts, which participants mastered during seminars and master classes. The works were presented at the final exhibition at the Gapar Aitiev National Museum of Fine Arts in Bishkek.
Adelina Mamatova in her collection turned to the topic of self-knowledge and return to roots. Her work reveals the deep connection between cultural heritage and personal identity, emphasizing the importance of preserving traditions in the modern world.
