KRSU students took part in the spring School of Young Turkologists and Altaists
More 100 participants from 18 universities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan became students of the spring School of Young Turkologists and Altaists, which was held at Altai State University as part of the project «Turkic World of Greater Altai».
Young scientists from KRSU represented our country among several participating universities.
The theme of the spring session of young scientists was the medieval history of the Turkic states – from the birth of the first Turkic khaganates on the territory of the Greater Altai VI century AD – before the inclusion of the Kazan and Astrakhan khanates into the Moscow state in the middle XVI centuries.
Leading scientists from Russia and Central Asian countries gave lectures on the more than thousand-year history of the Turkic states to young researchers. During the lectures, young scientists asked questions to the lecturers and participated in discussions.
School of young scientists – Turkologists and Altaists it has been operating at Altai State University for the third year within the framework of the project «Turkic World of Greater Altai» with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The REC of Altaistics and Turkology «Greater Altai» traditionally holds three sessions of the School per year – in spring, summer and autumn.
