KRSU students presented scientific projects at a biochemistry competition

A competition «ZUB – famous biochemists» was held at the medical faculty of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, bringing together second-year students of the specialty «Dentistry».The event was held at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and brought together 21 participants presenting 17 competitive works. The head of the department was Natalya Matyushchenko. The jury included Associate Professor Ibraeva I. G., senior teacher G. Ch. Turdalieva and teacher M. M. Kochkorova.The competition aimed to increase students' interest in studying biochemistry, as well as develop analytical thinking, public speaking skills and teamwork. Particular attention was paid to studying the contribution of outstanding biochemists to the development of modern science and its applied study programs, including dentistry.As part of the competition performances, participants examined a wide range of current topics: biochemical processes in oral tissues, the role of enzymes and vitamins in maintaining healthy teeth and gums, features of the biosynthesis and metabolism of natural compounds, as well as pathologies associated with biochemical disorders.Based on the results of the competition, the jury noted the best works in several categories. In category «Architect of Metabolism», Smailova Khanym and Zarylbekova Ayana (group SD-5-24) were awarded. Sofia Solovyova (group SD-11-24) was awarded in the nomination «Master of Biochemical Word». The best presentation in the category «Molecular Design» was recognized as the work of Usenbaeva Nurayim (group SD-8-24). In the nomination «Scientific breakthrough», Ali Aliyev and Ramil Dzhulfaev (group SD-5-24) were awarded.The organizers note the high level of training of the participants and their interest in scientific activities.
