KRSU students became winners of an international competition in English

Students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University became prize-winners of the International Student Video Presentation Competition in English «From Global Issues to Students’ Solutions», held as part of the Bogomolov Readings at the Institute of International Economic Relations (IMES).The competition brought together 76 student teams from ten countries — Russia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, China, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey and Kazakhstan. Participants presented projects dedicated to finding solutions to current global challenges.First place in the nomination «Psychological well-being and social cohesion» was taken by the team of the Faculty of International Relations KRSU MZh-2-24 under the leadership of senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Gulbubu Kurmanova. Students presented a project «Stand By U», which tells the story of a student who manages to overcome feelings of loneliness thanks to a support platform that brings students together for communication, study and leisure.Third place in the nomination «Digital environment and security» was given to students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of KRSU of the ITS-1-25 group under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Natalya Lyubimova. The project «Digital Safety Habits» was dedicated to digital security issues. The authors demonstrated the risks of phishing and account hacking, and proposed security measures, including the use of two-factor authentication and the development of digital literacy programs.The participation of KRSU students in the international competition was confirmation of the high level of training of students and their ability to offer practical solutions to current social and technological problems.
