Students discussed the application of modern technology in architecture, design and construction
On May 12, the Department of Foreign Languages KRSU held an annual student conference «Application of modern technologies in architecture, design and construction» at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction.
During the qualifying round, 9 reports from 1st-2nd year students were nominated to participate in the conference.
At the plenary session, Deputy Dean of FADIS Gulmira Shabikova addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She noted the importance of the use of new technologies, the relevance and diversity of the topics of student reports and expressed the wish that the research work of students serve as motivation for other children and contribute to the replenishment of the ranks of young scientists, called on the speakers to share with the audience the fruits of scientific research, as well as to find out the opinions of other researchers about the correctness of their conclusions during the discussion of presentations.
The head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Marina Yurchenko, addressed the conference participants as the future driving force of the country, calling on them to fully reveal their research potential. She noted that the department considers it important to hold such conferences, since they not only improve oratory skills and the skills of making a presentation in a foreign language, serve as a means of honing the ability to defend one’s point of view, but also in order to learn to conduct a productive dialogue between participants. Participation in such events – helping to speed up the exchange of new ideas.
During the conference, students discussed new technologies with widespread applications, as well as experimental technologies on a global scale. The advantages of eco-architecture, new architectural solutions, as well as the use of new building materials in construction and design of the external environment were considered.
The conference participants were awarded certificates, and the best speakers – M. Movchan (DAS-1-21), E. Zhumataev (S-4-20), M. Karyppaeva (DAS-1-21) and A. Khvan (ARCH-1-20) – received certificates of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees.
The creative approach and desire of the department’s teachers, who supervise the independent work of students, to stimulate the internal motivation of students to conduct scientific research have brought positive results. The increased interest on the part of young researchers in the development of new technologies is an indication that teachers and students are working effectively in tandem.
