KRSU discussed current issues of teaching foreign languages
An international scientific and methodological conference was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University «Bank of Pedagogical Ideas. Current issues in pedagogy», organized by the inter-faculty department of foreign languages.
The event was held in a hybrid format with in-person and online participation of foreign language teachers. The conference was dedicated to discussing modern approaches to language education, methodological and technological solutions that are in demand in the context of the transformation of higher education.
The head of the department for monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of scientific and innovative activities of KRSU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Natalya Brovko addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of professional exchange and scientific dialogue for improving the quality of teaching foreign languages.
The conference was conducted in two sections: scientific-theoretical, dedicated to issues of linguistics and intercultural communication, and scientific-methodological, within the framework of which forms and methods of teaching foreign languages, including traditional and innovative pedagogical technologies, were considered.
The conference was attended by teachers from KRSU, as well as representatives of specialized educational organizations in Kyrgyzstan and Russia. During the sectional work, 16 reports were heard, touching on a wide range of problems of language education at the university — from the formation of communicative competence and motivation of students to the use of digital resources, hybrid technologies and artificial intelligence tools in teaching foreign languages.
At the end of the conference, participants noted the practical orientation of the presented research and the relevance of the topics discussed. The event became a platform for the exchange of experience, professional discussion and development of approaches aimed at the further development of language education in the higher education system.
