An interuniversity conference on the functioning of the Russian language and literature was held at KRSU

On April 27, 2026, the annual interuniversity student scientific and practical conference «Functioning of the Russian language and literature in the modern communicative space of Kyrgyzstan» was held at the Faculty of Humanities of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.The event was organized by the Department of Russian Philology KRSU. The conference brought together students, undergraduates and young researchers from KRSU, as well as other universities in Kyrgyzstan, becoming a platform for scientific dialogue and exchange of research experience.The conference was held in the format of three thematic sections dedicated to current issues of linguistics, modern research in the field of literature, as well as sociolinguistics and methods of teaching philological disciplines.As part of the scientific program, participants presented reports covering a wide range of topics: from the analysis of literary texts and language processes in the digital environment to issues of translation, intercultural communication, the development of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan and the use of modern educational technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence in teaching.Special attention was paid to research related to the work of Chingiz Aitmatov, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Ivan Turgenev, as well as problems of modern media communication and language policy.The conference was held in active scientific cooperation, allowing participants to present the results of their research, discuss current problems of philology and receive expert feedback.Based on the results of the event, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific materials with the publication of the participants’ works.Holding the conference contributes to the development of the scientific potential of students, strengthening interuniversity cooperation and increasing interest in philological research in the modern educational space.
