One step away from a dream
On December 7, the final of the International Team Olympiad «ICPC Northern Eurasia Finals – 2022/2023» was held at the Kazakh-British Technical University.
300 teams (3 people each) from 75 universities in Russia and the CIS countries – Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Belarus took part in the sports programming competition.
Half of the teams came to the main competition in St. Petersburg, the rest competed in Kutaisi, Almaty and Barnaul.
Under the rules, participating teams were given 5 hours and one computer to solve about a dozen problems.
The KRSU team consisting of Arsen Kasymov, Mirbek Bakirov, Erzhan Ulukbekov and coach, senior lecturer of the IVT department Artem Belyaev took 16th place out of 64 in the regional competition and received a III degree Diploma.
To reach the finals of the world championship, our team lacked only one solved problem. In the overall standings, our team was above the middle of the standings (94th place out of 270 in Eurasia).
