Extraordinary meeting of the Academic Council KRSU: key provisions on the election of the rector were approved
The first meeting of the Academic Council in the new composition took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The key decision was the official nomination by the Academic Council of Sergei Yuryevich Volkov as a candidate for the post of rector of KRSU.
As part of the agenda, the main documents relating to the procedure for holding elections of the rector of KRSU, as well as the composition of the commission that will organize the election process, were also approved.
According to the approved regulations, the organizer of the election of the rector is the Academic Council of the university. Elections are held by secret ballot at a meeting of the KRSU Governing Council. The elected rector is approved for the position by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The term of office of the rector is 5 years.
Requirements for candidates. Highly qualified scientific and pedagogical workers who have: can apply for the position of rector
• higher education,
• degree,
• at least 5 years of experience in the educational or scientific field.
Nomination procedure The right to nominate candidates belongs to
• Academic Council of the University,
• Academic councils of faculties,
• Meeting of labor collectives and structural divisions KRSU. The possibility of self-nomination is also provided.
Applications from candidates will be accepted from March 5 to March 13. The approved commission for the election of the rector will consider the submitted applications.
The nomination of Sergei Yuryevich Volkov to the post of rector was an important stage in the preparation for the upcoming elections, reflecting the desire of the Academic Council for stability and development of the university.
