About the section «1916 uprising in Kyrgyzstan»
Dear reader!
Guided by the provisions of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic of May 27, 2015 «On the 100th anniversary of the tragic events of 1916», the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University opens a column «1916 Uprising in Kyrgyzstan». Its goal is to present to the scientific community and wide public circles previously unpublished archival documents about the national tragedy that happened in Semirechye a century ago.
The new section will contain copies of original documents stored in the collections of the Russian State Military Historical Archive (RGVIA), the State Archive of the Russian Federation (GARF), the Russian State Historical Archive (RGIA) and the Archive of Foreign Policy of the Russian Empire of the Historical and Documentary Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (AVPRI).
These historical sources, having recorded individual historical facts and accomplished events, will allow the researcher to look at them impartially, objectively, discarding the opportunistic approach in their assessment.
As a result of reading and comprehending them, everyone will independently draw a picture of what happened and draw conclusions. The main thing is that the research process becomes an occasion to learn lessons that will allow society to live and develop harmoniously and without conflict, targeting each of its members to create in the name of prosperity.
