Barnaul is ahead!

The Subregional Quarter-Final of the competition was held on 13 November ICPC <TAG1> international student competitions in sports programming. This year the competition was held online and 61 teams took part in it (there are 3 people in a team).

As last year, the fight for 1st place took place between students of KRSU and AUCA. As a result, our team took 2nd place, losing one single task. However, the coach of the KRSU team A.A. Belyaev was pleased with the guys’ performance:

– This year, our three teams, who took 2nd, 5th and 12th place, advanced to the semi-finals. For comparison – the three AUCA squads that advanced further were located in 1st, 8th and 14th places. In 2020, only one team from KRSU was in the semi-finals, so we can talk about improved results. The big plus was that the composition of the participants became noticeably younger. The successes of the KRSU team are associated with the opportunity to participate in training camps in preparation for the Olympics. The training is funded under the «Development of Slavic Universities» program, and we hope that our teams will perform better in 2022. This year is not over yet, and the guys have a competition ahead in Barnaul. We hope for good results!
