Graduates – our pride!
What could be more pleasant for any university (faculty) than the success of its graduates? Now we receive almost weekly information about which of our graduates entered residency (postgraduate studies) both in Kyrgyzstan and abroad. But – is a very special case concerning Dr. Elvira Zhumakalyevna Isaeva.
She graduated in 2014 from the Faculty of Medicine of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. B. Yeltsin. Then she entered our clinical residency in the specialty «Pediatrics» (for a budget-funded form of training).
Postgraduate training took place at the National Center for Maternal and Child Welfare (NCOMiD), where she proved herself to be a responsible, fast-learning and promising specialist.
At the end of the first year of residency, Elvira Zhumakalyevna got a job as a doctor on duty at the City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital in Bishkek. While working there, she passed all the necessary certifications and became famous among her colleagues as the locomotive of the team.
In 2016, she successfully completed her clinical residency, passing all certifications with excellent marks.
From that moment to this day, Dr. E. Isaeva has been working as a doctor at the NCOMiD, and since 2019 she has also been a researcher at the same clinical Center.
Since 2016, she has become a member of the IPCRG (International Primary Health Care Respiratory Group) of the Kyrgyz Thoracic Society. From May 2016 to December 2018, she participated in the International Research Project «FRESH AIR» as a researcher.
She has repeatedly been on international and state expeditions to remote villages and high mountain regions of the Kyrgyz Republic to provide medical care to the child population.
Also, for 6 years now he has been a participant in the International Educational Program in Respiratory Medicine HERMES (Switzerland, Zurich).
In May 2018, she completed a month-long internship at Rigshospitalet, (Copenhagen, Denmark). In the same year, she made a presentation at the World Conference on Childhood Infectious Diseases (ESPID) in Malmo (Sweden). In June 2018, her talk was given at the International Conference of the Primary Health Care Respiratory Group (IPCRG) in the city of Porto (Portugal). In March 2019, she presented her scientific data on the topic «Problems and prospects for the development of modern pediatrics and pediatric surgery» in Almaty, then spoke at the IX Congress of Pediatricians of the CIS Countries in Dushanbe.
And now that one «cherry on the cake»! In May 2021, Dr. E. Isaeva entered graduate school at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) to seek a PhD academic degree and established contacts with this university, which is extremely important for building the scientific potential of the healthcare system of the Kyrgyz Republic as a whole.
In May of this year, Elvira Zhumakalyevna made a presentation at the International Conference of the Primary Health Care Respiratory Group (IPCRG) in Malaga (Spain), and recently took courses in epidemiology and statistics in Florence.
E. Isaeva is a co-author of four articles published in reputable international journals (npj Primary Care Respiratore medicine, European Medical Journal, PLOS ONE, BMC), the first author of abstracts and posters for a number of international conferences.
