A collection of materials from the II International Altaic Forum has been published
At the end of September 2021, the II International Altaic Forum was held at Altai State University. It was carried out as part of the implementation of the project «The Turkic-Mongolian world of Greater Altai: unity and diversity in history and modernity» on the instructions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The forum became one of the most significant scientific events of the past year. More than 300 scientists, experts and young researchers from Russia and nine foreign countries – Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Finland took part in it. The result of his work was the collection «The Turkic-Mongolian World of Greater Altai: Historical and Cultural Heritage and Modernity», published in January 2022 by the Altai State University Publishing House.
The collection is a unique source of scientific information on current topics of Altaicism and Turkology: ethnopolitical history, archeology and ethnography of the peoples of Greater Altai; religious worldview of the Turkic-Mongolian peoples; preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Greater Altai and Central Asia; features of the formation of the media space of the region and others.
Contributions to its publication were made by teachers and graduate students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
