Today in the Kyrgyz Republic the Day of the State Flag — one of the main symbols of the independence, sovereignty and national unity of the country is celebrated.The date of the holiday is associated with a historical event: on March 3, 1992, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan approved the state flag of independent Kyrgyzstan. Already on March 5, 1992, it was solemnly raised above the Government House building in Bishkek.The national flag reflects the rich history and values of the Kyrgyz people.The color red symbolizes courage, heroism and the desire to win.Tunduk of the Kyrgyz yurt — a sign of unity, friendship and home.Forty golden rays represent the unification of forty tribes under one tunduk.The color gold symbolizes well-being and stability.Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University congratulates students, staff and partners on the Day of the State Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic.May this symbol always unite us in the pursuit of development, peace and prosperity of the country.
