Universities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan are checking courses: the III Russian-Kyrgyz educational forum started in Bishkek
On October 1–2, 2026, the III Russian-Kyrgyz Educational Forum (RKOF-2026) is taking place in Bishkek. On the first day, its site became the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B.N. Yeltsin. The forum brings together representatives of universities, government bodies, science and industry in Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
The program of the first day of a large-scale international event — chess tournament «Blitz with Champion» with the participation of world champion Sergei Karyakin and schoolchildren, the opening of the Chess Club named after. MM. Botvinnik and the opening ceremony of the forum in the Great Assembly Hall. The central event of the forum — plenary session «From knowledge to capital: universities as an assembly point for cooperation projects with the state and industry». The first agreements within the forum have already been signed today, panel discussions are devoted to career trajectories, the introduction of innovations and sustainable development of territories.
The significance of the forum goes beyond one meeting. Over the course of two years, RKOF has become a stable platform for practical cooperation, where Russian-Kyrgyz consortia of agricultural, medical and technical universities are being formed. Today the forum solves a key problem — translates partnership agreements into specific educational, scientific and applied projects that are in demand by the state, business and regions. This is a space where universities in Russia and Kyrgyzstan together seek answers to common challenges: personnel training, technological sovereignty, territorial development and strengthening of a single educational space.
The atmosphere of the forum — is businesslike, open and focused on results. Russian and Kyrgyz languages are spoken in the halls of KRSU, there is an active exchange of experience, and new partnerships are being established. Participants note a special attitude towards collaboration: from meeting and discussing ideas — to specific teams and projects. It is this atmosphere of trust and practical interest that makes the RCF the assembly point for future initiatives.
