Alliance of Volunteers
June 17 within the walls of KSMA named after. AND. Akhunbaeva, together with a volunteer organization «Red Crescent», held an interuniversity volunteer conference on the exchange of experience. Activists from 6 higher educational institutions of Bishkek took part in it: KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin, KNAU named after. K. Scriabin, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, KNU named after. Zh. Balasagyn, KSTU named after. AND. Razzakova and KSMA named after. AND. Akhunbaeva.
Each delegation presented a detailed story about its work over recent years and made proposals for improving youth charitable activities in the Kyrgyz Republic. From KRSU, the head of the charitable sector of the youth parliament of the Faculty of Medicine, Eleonora Zhuraeva, and her deputy, Saikal Samaganova (both – 4th year students of the specialty «General Medicine») made a report.
In their report, they highlighted the history of the emergence of the youth parliament of the Faculty of Medicine and its charitable sector, and also spoke in detail about their activities.
The volunteer organization «Red Crescent» presented a new training program for caring for the disabled and elderly, shared the results of the old program «Basic home care for the elderly», and also presented a project for implementing the new law on volunteering.
Each university proposed its own innovative ideas for improving life in the Kyrgyz Republic, namely: increasing the level of knowledge of the state language, improving the technical equipment of workplaces for doctors in regions and districts, organizing volunteer practice in children's rehabilitation centers and nursing homes, and much more.
At the end of the conference, a discussion took place, following which two proposals were put forward:
- On holding annual interuniversity games «Friendship of universities».
- On the founding of the Association of Student Volunteers.
All the proposals put forward were the first step towards the formation of a strong connection between universities, which will serve as the foundation for volunteer interuniversity activities.
