The Baltic Fleet Song and Dance Ensemble performed at KRSU
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, a bright and truly solemn event took place — the university was visited by the song and dance ensemble of the twice Red Banner Baltic Fleet from Kaliningrad. One of the oldest military artistic groups in Russia presented a concert program that combined patriotic songs, folk and stylized dances.
The ensemble was founded in October 1939. Over the decades of its history, its repertoire has expanded significantly, a recognizable creative style of performance has been formed, and the choir and dance group present each number with characteristic artistry, combining strict military bearing and stage expressiveness.
From the first minutes of the performance, the audience was completely immersed in an atmosphere of strength, memory and respect for military feats. There was not a single empty seat in the hall — the concert brought together students, teachers, university staff and guests who warmly and emotionally received the artists. The applause did not stop, and the audience greeted many of the performances standing.
The program featured famous patriotic compositions, songs of the war years, as well as bright choreographic performances reflecting the rich traditions of folk culture. The high professionalism of the performers, the coherence of the choir, orchestra and ballet group created a feeling of large-scale stage action, going far beyond the scope of a regular concert.
The ensemble's performance became not only a significant cultural event, but also an important part of the patriotic education of youth. Through music and dance, the artists conveyed respect for history, military service and the values that unite generations.
