Russian Science Day in Bishkek
On February 8, Russian Science Day, the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Kyrgyz Republic together with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University with the support of the Cultural and Business Center «House of Moscow» in Bishkek, the Association of Alumni of Russian (Soviet) Universities of Kyrgyzstan, the Association of Kyrgyz Graduates of the Ural Federal University held festive events.
After the opening of the photo exhibition «Great Scientists of Russia», prepared by the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bishkek, the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan transferred educational, educational, methodological and reference literature to KRSU within the framework of the federal target program «Russian language».
At the round table «The role of young scientists in the development and strengthening of Russian-Kyrgyz relations», young scientists from the two countries discussed issues of international scientific cooperation and prospects for training professional personnel for the field of youth policy in Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
On behalf of the Russian side, leaders and specialists of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University and the Ural Federal University and young representatives of university scientific communities spoke online.
Kyrgyzstan was represented by young scientists KRSU, as well as representatives of more than 10 universities of the republic – Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn, KSTU named after I. Razzakov, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz State Law Academy, Kyrgyz National State Agrarian University named after K. Scriabin, Bishkek Humanitarian University named after K. Karasaev and others.
Russian Science Day was established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 1999. Celebrated in Russia annually on February 8th. On this day (January 28, old style) in 1724, by Decree of the governing Senate, by order of Peter I, the Academy of Sciences was founded in Russia, later renamed the USSR Academy of Sciences (1925), then the Russian Academy of Sciences (1991).
