Day of Slavic Literature and Culture in KRSU
On May 24, at the Faculty of Humanities of KRSU, with the support of the Russian House in Bishkek, a student conference «Eternally Living Heritage» dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture was held. First and second year students of the Russian language department took part in its work.
«This holiday is very significant for everyone who uses the Slavic alphabet, – noted the head of the Russian language department KRSU Almira Gatina. – We can call it civilizational, because writing changes a person’s worldview and opens the way to the world of enlightenment».
Students prepared reports on the history of the emergence of Slavic writing, the spread and development of the Cyrillic alphabet, on Slavic languages in today's realities, etc.
At the end of the conference, a quiz was held on knowledge of the history of the Slavic alphabet. The winners received diplomas and prizes.
