Turkish Language and Culture Day at KRSU: Celebration of friendship and mutual understanding
An event — Turkish Language and Culture Day took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). The holiday brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Turkish Embassy, university management and students studying Turkish.
The event opened in a large assembly hall, where a concert prepared by students took place. Performances included traditional Turkish songs, dances and skits that allowed the audience to become more deeply acquainted with the rich culture and traditions of Turkey. Students studying Turkish demonstrated their knowledge and talents.
One of the highlights of the holiday was a master class on drawing using the ebru technique — the oldest Turkish water painting technique. The master class participants, including both students and teachers, enthusiastically tried their hand at this unique art form. Under the guidance of an experienced master, the guests created their own unique drawings, immersing themselves in the process of creativity and knowledge of Turkish culture.
Particular attention was paid to hospitality: visitors were treated to national Turkish sweets. These treats not only complemented the holiday atmosphere, but also allowed participants to feel part of the Turkish tradition.
The rector of KRSU, speaking with a welcoming speech, noted the importance of such events for strengthening cultural and educational ties between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. He expressed gratitude to the Turkish Embassy for its support and active participation in organizing the holiday.
The representative of the Turkish delegation also made a speech, emphasizing the importance of learning language and culture for the development of mutual understanding and friendship between peoples. He noted that such events help strengthen ties between students of the two countries and broaden their horizons.
