Dialogue of cultures and languages: a round table was held at KRSU as part of an international expedition «Journey to the Heart of Eurasia»
An international expedition «Journey to the Heart of Eurasia» arrived in Bishkek — a large-scale project that brought together representatives of science, culture, business and youth policy from five countries: Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The project started in early June from Moscow and will cover more than 30 cities in 50 days, becoming a platform for discussing current issues of interaction in the humanitarian and educational spheres.
As part of the expedition's visit to Bishkek, a scientific round table was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University on the topic «Russian language as the basis of a space of trust».
Representatives of leading universities and research centers took part in the event:

• KRSU,
• Russian-Tajik Slavic University,

Evgeniy Vladimirovich Shekunov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of KRSU, delivered a welcoming speech, noting the special importance of humanitarian dialogue in strengthening a single educational and cultural space.
The introductory speech was made by the Director for Interaction with Scientific and Educational Institutions of the International Center for Regional Integrations (ICRI), Alexander Prikhodko. In his presentation, he emphasized that the Russian language — is not just a means of communication, but a basis for mutual respect, understanding and cooperation in Eurasia.
«Today we speak of Russian not only as a language of culture, but also as a factor of trust, sustainable development and professional interaction. By strengthening the language environment, we are simultaneously creating the foundation for humanitarian and economic integration», — noted Alexander Sergeevich.
Director of the Institute of Russian Language named after. A.O. Orusbaeva KRSU Mamed Tagaev, presented the results of the institute’s work and prospects for the development of Russian-language education in Kyrgyzstan.
«We see steady interest in the Russian language on the part of young people, including in the regions. Our task —is not only to maintain this interest, but also to create conditions for its deepening through new formats, technologies and academic exchanges», — Tagaev emphasized.
The participants' reports covered a wide range of topics — from methods of teaching the Russian language in a multilingual environment and regional practices for promoting the language, to the role of humanitarian projects in strengthening international relations.
Of particular interest to the participants were speeches devoted to the practice of holding summer schools of the Russian language, the activities of Russian cultural and educational centers in the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the use of the Russian language as a tool for humanitarian and economic integration within the framework of international cooperation.
The round table participants agreed that the Russian language continues to serve as a cultural and intellectual bridge in the Eurasian space, maintaining the status of a language of education, science and interethnic communication.
The «Journey to the Heart of Eurasia» project continues to move through the region, and KRSU— has reaffirmed its role as a platform for open dialogue, scientific exchange and friendship between countries.
