Discussions of otorhinolaryngologists

On March 28, the next plenary meeting of the NGO «Scientific Association of Otorhinolaryngologists» was held, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. B. Yeltsin.

The head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology KRSU, Professor T. Izaeva, delivered a welcoming speech. Tamara Aseneevna spoke in detail about the main mission of KRSU – training highly qualified personnel capable of effectively implementing the tasks of socio-economic development in the face of global challenges and aimed at increasing the spiritual values of the founding countries in the process of transforming the university into a modern regional innovative scientific and educational center, using experience and achievements of the two countries in the field of science and education.

The report «Chronic purulent cholesteatomic epitympanitis complicated by an abscess of the left hemisphere of the cerebellum – meningoencephalitis» was made by the head teacher of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology KRSU, Associate Professor M. Nasyrov. Murad Vadimovich shared a very interesting and atypical clinical case from his practice. He told his colleagues in detail the intricacies of diagnosis and surgical treatment of a young patient with a serious, life-threatening diagnosis.

Today, otogenic intracranial complications occupy a leading position among the causes of mortality in diseases of the ENT organs. The number of erased, latent forms and combined complications of diseases with a severe course has increased. This patient was in hospital treatment for 1 month. She received timely surgical care, as a result of which she was discharged in satisfactory condition.

Also, a graduate student of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology KRSU K. Birzhanova made a report on the topic «Morphofunctional features of the laryngeal ventricles in normal conditions and in cancer». The larynx is one of the most responsible dynamic functional-anatomical formations at the junction of the respiratory and esophageal tract, which is involved in the implementation of the most important functions: breathing, separation, phonation, protection. It is known that diseases of the larynx have a high proportion of all organ ENT pathologies. Therefore, detailed information about the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the larynx and clear ideas about the pathogenesis of its diseases are extremely important.
