There is such a profession – to love children

On December 26, New Year's Eve, a trip to the Sosnovsky family orphanage took place. KRSU 1st-2nd year psychology students really wanted to congratulate the children of the orphanage on the New Year, show a performance, and give gifts to the children. For this purpose, a holiday script was written, gifts were purchased, and finally, we found ourselves far from the city, in this wonderful, beautiful place – in a mountain tract next to the stormy whirlpools of the Karabaltinka River. The beauty of nature, the sun, clean, transparent air for us, accustomed to breathing city smog, seemed truly like paradise on earth!

But the main discovery for us was our acquaintance with legendary personalities, who turned out to be very sincere and simple people – Vadim Yashin and Natalya Aslapovskaya. In the difficult 90s, they organized an orphanage. Natalya and Vadim raised about 200 children and received state awards for their work. Their main task – is to help children gain life skills in society.

After an acquaintance, an interesting performance, competitions, games and entertainment, we were fed lunch, told the history of the creation of the orphanage, given a tour, and told about family traditions, stories and destinies of the pupils. There was so much respect and admiration in the eyes of the students who listened to Vadim’s interesting stories, empathized, and rejoiced at the children’s successes that the thought involuntarily came to how one meeting could change the idea of the world and people.

Indeed, our professional experience consists not only of lectures and seminars listened to, but also of the experience of communicating with such unique people! Such meetings help you better understand yourself, rethink your life, and make sure that your chosen path is correct! Well, there are new meetings ahead, an agreement on a trip to Bishkek for a concert that the students of the department want to organize.
