Acting Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov took part in a meeting with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov

Acting Rector of the Boris Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov met with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov as part of a meeting with the rectors of leading universities in Kyrgyzstan. The event was timed to coincide with a significant achievement: 6 universities in Kyrgyzstan were included in the prestigious international QS Asia University Rankings 2025.

At the meeting, issues of further development of higher education, innovative potential and training of qualified personnel for the IT sector were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the importance of supporting and improving the quality of educational programs so that Kyrgyz universities can compete at the global level.

Akylbek Zhaparov noted that the inclusion of Kyrgyz universities in the international ranking is an indicator of the progress of the country’s higher education system. «This first success is an indicator that through dedicated work to improve the quality of education, increase scientific activity and strengthen international relations, we can achieve real results. Our goal —to create strong, competitive universities that meet the highest world standards», — the head of the Cabinet emphasized. KRSU, as one of the country's leading universities, is actively involved in the initiative to promote Kyrgyz higher education in the international arena.

Six Kyrgyz universities were included in the international QS Asia University Rankings 2025 among more than 900 educational institutions in Asia.
