Results of the essay competition dedicated to Russian Language Day
On the eve of International Russian Language Day, celebrated annually on June 6, the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaeva KRSU in partnership with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Patrice Lumumba (RUDN, Moscow) from May 4 to May 27, 2023, held an essay competition among students in grades 5-9 of secondary schools with Kyrgyz, Uzbek and Russian languages of instruction
Contestants were offered the following (choice) topics:
- «Russian language – is a language in a world of possibilities»;
- «Russian language in my life and in the history of my country».
More than 50 students from schools in Bishkek, Jalal-Abad, Osh, Chui and Issyk-Kul regions took part in the competition.
When evaluating the essay, the contestants’ ability to independently reason, argue their position, mastery of the norms of the Russian literary language, and a creative approach to completing the task were taken into account.
The jury noted the great interest of young people in learning the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan.

Electronic diplomas and certificates will be sent to the personal addresses of the contestants during June.
The award ceremony for the winners will take place on June 6, 2023, start – at 11 o’clock, at the address: Kyiv st., 44, main building KRSU, 212 auditorium.
