The reproductive health of young people – an extremely important issue that requires constant attention. In this regard, on September 10, on the initiative of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology KRSU, together with the representative office of OJSC «Gedeon Richter» in Bishkek, an educational seminar «Current issues of gynecology: diagnostic capabilities and hormonal therapy» was held with an invitation as a leading lecturer – Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, President of the Association of Children and Adolescent Gynecologists of Russia Elena Uvarova.
About 250 obstetrician-gynecologists from Bishkek and the regions acted as listeners. Classes were broadcast online to all regions of the republic.
Honored Health Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic, Professor Gulnara Asymbekova addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She emphasized the great importance of the seminar in connection with issues of reproductive health of young people and the need to improve the quality of observation and treatment of adolescents
Professor E. Uvarova presented messages on the topics: «Polycystic ovary syndrome in adolescents. Diagnostic and hormonal therapy capabilities» and «Principles of counseling for sexually active adolescents». Methods for relieving and treating clinical manifestations of hyperandrogenism in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in adolescence, modern approaches to their diagnosis, management, and counseling of new patients were considered.
