A Russian expert told how to counter extremism and terrorism

From April 5 to 8, at the hotel «Europe», the Center for Prevention and Counteraction to Terrorism and Extremism KRSU, together with the Union of Criminologists and Criminologists (Russia), held an international scientific and methodological seminar «Increasing the forensic potential of law enforcement, expert and educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic on countering extremism and terrorism» dedicated to the 30th anniversary of KRSU.

On April 5, the event was opened by KRSU Vice-Rector Leonid Sumarokov and Dean of the Faculty of Law Bermet Tugelbaeva.

As part of the «Visiting Professor» program, Nikolai Filippovich Bodrov, Chairman of the Union of Criminologists and Criminologists, Associate Professor of the Department of Forensic Expertise at the Moscow State Law University named after O. Kutafin, spoke as a lecturer at the seminar. Employees of law enforcement, expert and educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic attended advanced training courses. The seminar was moderated by the director of the Center for Prevention and Combating Terrorism and Extremism KRSU Zulfiya Kulanbaeva.

At the training sessions, Russian expert N. Bodrov examined general issues and practices of forensic medicine, paying attention to forensic research of documents, naming examination, theory and practice of information and computer support for forensic activities, digitalization of forensic activities, forensic linguistic examination of extremist materials.
