«Every decision should improve the quality of students' learning and life»: a dean's meeting was held at KRSU
The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University hosted a regular dean's meeting, at which rector Sergei Volkov and faculty management discussed key issues at the beginning of the academic year, the development of the university's infrastructure and preparations for major educational events in September.
The main strategic direction of the meeting was the discussion of the parameters of the future KRSU campus. The project is designed for 30 hectares of territory, a capacity of 15 thousand students and a building area of about 114 thousand square meters. Work is now under way on the design brief: laboratories, lecture and individual audiences, and cultural and spiritual sites are taken into account.
«We must competently and systematically lay the foundation for the future campus so that every detail works for the comfort of students and teachers», — the rector emphasized.
Particular attention is paid to discipline in document flow. During the week, 39 documents and 4 appeals passed through the 1C system, while the rector called on deans to more strictly monitor the deadlines and transparency of procedures.
The quality of online classes was also discussed. The guide stressed the need for mandatory use of the video format and improvement of the lecture content. By January 20, faculties must submit unified lists of entrance tests, which will unify the admission rules.
Sergei Volkov outlined the task of forming a forecast for the student population for 2026. It is important to consider study areas and recruitment prospects, including commercial students. The deans are instructed to prepare lists of the best graduates for further employment at the university and update the staff of educational and support personnel.
«Each dean is personally responsible for the implementation of admission plans at all levels of education —from bachelor’s to residency», — the rector noted.
The meeting also touched upon the development of sports infrastructure. KRSU is preparing an agreement with the football club «Alga», which will make sports fields and athletics tracks available to the university. Physical education classes will be held in convenient morning hours and in the last pairs.
Particular emphasis is placed on preparing major events at the KRSU site. Such as the round table on transport logistics, the Russian-Kyrgyz educational forum and exhibition of universities and the International Forum of Russian Language Teachers.

Thus, KRSU continues to systematically solve the problems of campus development, modernization of the educational process and strengthening international cooperation, combining strategic projects with everyday challenges of university life.
