Climate issues through the prism of international, national and corporate regulation

The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University is hosting an event - an educational course at MGIMO-UNITAR "Climate issues through the prism of international, national and corporate regulation" for civil servants of Kyrgyzstan. During the course, participants had the opportunity to delve into various aspects of climate issues and discuss current regulatory issues at the international, national and corporate levels.

The event will last three days. Participants will examine key international treaties and agreements relating to climate, such as the Paris Agreement and the Kyoto Protocol. They will discuss mechanisms for their implementation and the impact on global climate initiatives.

The second day will focus on national strategies and policy responses to climate change.

The final day of the course will focus on corporate climate regulation. Companies' strategies to reduce their carbon footprint, implementing sustainable practices and corporate social responsibility were discussed.

Vice-Rector of KRSU Ivan Kolpakov delivered a welcoming speech to the course participants, noting the importance of this event for increasing the competencies of civil servants in the field of climate policy. He stressed the need for international cooperation and exchange of experience to effectively address climate challenges.
