A book about a feat to help the border!
On October 7, 2021, at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin, a presentation of the book by Vice-Rector for Information and Public Relations L.I. took place. Sumarokova «Every heart beat like Brest!» and the transfer of a batch of this book to the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic. The new publication, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War, talks about the participation of Kyrgyz border guards in the battle against fascism.
The event turned out to be solemn and instructive. The participants of the meeting, held in a hybrid format, were welcomed by the rector of KRSU V.I. Nifadiev, who drew their attention to the fact that the presentation of the book and its transfer are not only scientific and educational in nature, but also applied, since the results of scientific research are directed to practical needs – in this case, they will be used in the interests of educating future officers, strengthening the moral and psychological state of Kyrgyz border guards guarding the borders of the Kyrgyz Republic and the external borders of the CIS.
The significance of the action carried out by KRSU was emphasized by the participation in it of the Memorial Complex «Brest Hero Fortress», Russian universities – Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, North Caucasus Federal University, Council of Veterans of the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Hero of the Soviet Union K. Usenbekov, Kyrgyz National Military Lyceum named after Hero of the Soviet Union D. Asanov Ken-Bulun secondary school named after the legendary Soviet border guard Osmon Lailiev, a school of the Russian air base «Kant», as well as students of all faculties and colleges, students of the KRSU school.
All participants in the presentation and book transfer ceremony, during an hour and a half conversation on open air, learned many new facts about the feat of Kyrgyzstanis accomplished during the Great Patriotic War.
Director of the Memorial Complex «Brest Hero Fortress» G. G. Bysyuk in his speech told the history of the defense of the Brest Fortress, which became a symbol of the fortitude and courage of the Soviet people, pointed to the multinational composition of its defenders, and provided new evidence of the participation of immigrants from the Kyrgyz SSR in it.
Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences R.D. Dzhenchuraeva described the events of the initial period of the Great Patriotic War, which she witnessed. She – the daughter of the famous Soviet border guard Jamankul Dzhenchuraev – saw with her own eyes the border battles of June 22, 1941. To this day, she has not been left with a feeling of bitterness from the tragedy that unfolded then and pride in the united Soviet people, which stood in the way of the fascist horde that invaded her country.
Granddaughter of the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR, Soviet border guard who died in battles with the Nazis in the first days of the war, Vasily Kostyri – V.N. Fischer, director of the Osmon Lailiev school R.K. Chekiev drew attention to the importance of young people, for the sake of peace on earth, preserving the memory of the generation of winners.
ACTING Dean of the Faculty of National Security, Institute of Law and National Security, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor A.V. Shevchenko pointed out the scientific value of the book «Every heart beat like Brest!», the significance of its presentation and transfer of books to the border guards of Kyrgyzstan, which made it possible to connect citizens of three states – Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, reminding the entire post-Soviet space of a common heroic and unifying past.
At the end of the event, books by L.I. Sumarokova «Every heart beat like Brest!» they were presented to the representative of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel R.T. Turdaliev and Chairman of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic Ch.Z. Burzhuev. In the near future, they will arrive at all border outposts and military educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
