The KRSU team successfully qualified for the XXIV competition named after. F. Martens

In 2023, more than 60 applications were submitted to the competition from various regions of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

In determining the best teams in the qualifying round, the jury took into account knowledge of international humanitarian law and public international law and the team's ability to argue their statements. As a result, the 23 teams that scored the most points in accordance with the criteria specified in the competition regulations advanced further. It is pleasant to note that students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University became winners of the qualifying round for the second year in a row! Our team consists of M. Muratova, M. Maksatova, N. Bekkulov and a coach – deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law for Science, Associate Professor of the Department of International and Constitutional Law N. Tursunbaeva – will represent Kyrgyzstan internationally in April 2023 in Moscow.

The competition is named after Fyodor Fedorovich Martens, the author «of the Martens Clause», a Russian lawyer, diplomat and one of the founders of the Russian school of international law.
