The KRSU Law School team will represent the university at the international rounds of the Philip Jessup Competition in Washington

The team of the Faculty of Law of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University successfully performed at the national qualifying rounds of the Central Asian countries, which were held in Bishkek from February 15 to 17, 2025. As a result of the competition, the KRSU team won the right to represent the university and the country at the international rounds of the Philip Jessup International Law Competition in Washington (USA).

The final stages of the competition will take place in April 2025 in the US capital – Washington, DC.

The Philip Jessup– Competition is the largest and one of the most prestigious international law competitions for law students. It simulates the proceedings before the International Court of Justice and provides participants with a unique opportunity to demonstrate knowledge of international law, develop skills in oral presentation, argumentation, time management and teamwork. Representatives from more than 700 law schools from 100 countries participate in the annual competition, but only a few of them get the chance to reach international rounds.

We are proud of the members of our team – Bolotbekova Gulayim, Kalmurzaev Askar, Saparov Belek, Syrtbaev Bayel, Arab Abolfazl, as well as their coach Nazira Tursunbaeva! Their success – is not only a personal achievement, but also a significant contribution to strengthening the reputation of KRSU in the international legal arena
