KRSU and the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan are expanding scientific cooperation
A working meeting between KRSU Rector Sergei Volkov and President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov took place at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The parties discussed key areas of joint work and agreed on a number of practical steps.
In particular, the NAS KR will become a trustee of one of the student startups KRSU, and the President of the NAS KR will be a member of the jury of the competition for innovative projects.
Particular attention is paid to environmental issues: on the basis of the mobile eco-laboratory KRSU, together with scientists from the academy, a map of the city’s pollution will be created. The National Academy of Sciences will also join in decrypting the environmental laboratory data.
Cooperation will also affect the educational sphere: KRSU students will undergo internships in the Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and academy scientists will provide support in creating a forested park area on the territory of the new university campus.
In addition, the parties agreed on cooperation within the framework of the transport forum, which will take place on September 18–19. KRSU students will be able to take part in field trials in logistics, allowing them to gain a unique hands-on experience.
Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov noted:
«Partnership with the National Academy of Sciences opens up new horizons for our university. Joint research and projects will allow KRSU to strengthen its position in the scientific community and expand opportunities for students and young scientists».
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to sign an updated framework agreement on cooperation between KRSU and the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
