KRSU and the Professional Football Club «Alga» have entered into an agreement to develop student sports
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, a cooperation agreement was signed between KRSU and the Professional Football Club «Alga» represented by director Emil Kutmanov. The purpose of the partnership is the joint development of student sports, the creation of new educational programs and support for young athletes who want to continue their careers in the sports industry.
At the meeting, plans to launch programs in sports management, refereeing and training of coaches were discussed. It is expected that football players will be able to combine study with career thanks to flexible schedules and special conditions. Upon completion of their sports activities, they will be able to go to work in the sports industry — as coaches, managers, judges.
Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov noted:
«Our main goal is — to help athletes build a long-term professional trajectory. It is important that players know that sport does not end with leaving the field. The university is ready to offer high-quality training programs and convenient formats that will allow combining study and training».
Director of the Professional Football Club «Alga» Emil Kutmanov he added: «For us, this agreement is — an opportunity to give young football players confidence in the future. Players must see the prospect of their development not only in a sports career, but also beyond it — in the role of coaches, managers or experts in the sports industry. We are pleased to start a collaboration with a university that is ready to support these ideas».
The collaboration involves joint sporting events, educational and media projects, master classes with the participation of the club's players and coaches, as well as the development of volunteer initiatives and college football.
The signing of the agreement was an important step towards creating a system in which sports and education work together for the benefit of the youth of Kyrgyzstan and the development of professional sports in the country.
