KRSU and «Rossiyskaya Gazeta» have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding
On May 29, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was visited by the General Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Editorial Office «of the Russian Newspaper» Pavel Negoitsa and international journalist, writer Vladimir Snegirev.
The guests were met by the rector of KRSU, academician Vladimir Nifadiev. The parties (KRSU and «Editorial Board «of the Rossiyskaya Gazeta») signed a Memorandum of Understanding designed to develop and strengthen political, economic and humanitarian ties between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic. The purpose of the Memorandum is – to expand mutual cooperation between KRSU and «Rossiyskaya Gazeta» on covering events in the research, educational, cultural and educational activities of the university.
The signed document involves the implementation of information interaction on issues of interest to readers of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, assistance in obtaining information about events that are important for deepening and expanding information, educational and cultural-educational ties between the two countries, transfer of practical experience in editorial and journalistic activities to KRSU student journalists.
Then, in the conference hall of the main building, a master class was held for students of the Department of International Journalism KRSU. Famous Russian journalists spoke about their professional activities and answered questions from those present. The meeting participants, including KRSU Vice-Rector Leonid Sumarokov, FMO Dean Professor Salavat Usmanov, Head of the Department of International Journalism KRSU Professor Alexander Katsev, Director of the Central Asian Representative Office «Rossiyskaya Gazeta» Dmitry Evlashkov, discussed what qualities a real journalist should have, about the challenges of modern journalism, about print media and their survival in the current realities.
