KRSU and NCFU conducted educational seminars for teachers of Russian studies in the Kyrgyz Republic
From March 23 to 25, 2021, the Institute of Russian Language of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin and the North Caucasus Federal University (Russian Federation, Stavropol) conducted a series of three-day educational seminars remotely on the Zoom platform «Teaching Russian language and literature at school: innovative approaches».
More than 90 Russian teachers from secondary schools, philologists and methodologists from universities in the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the seminars. Seminar participants represented all regions of the country: Bishkek, Kara-Balta, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Kyzyl-Kiya, Tash-Kumyr, Bazar-Korgon, Naryn, Karakol, Talas, the villages of Chok-Tal and Barskoon, Issyk-Kul region, p. Almaluu, Chui region, village. Bakai-ata of Talas region. Teachers from Pavlodar (Kazakhstan) also joined the training at online seminars.
In his welcoming speech, the rector of KRSU, academician V.I. Nifadiev noted that Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in the preservation and development of the Russian language is of great importance for the republic. He emphasized that by exchanging practical experience, teachers and lecturers in Kyrgyzstan and Russia not only strengthen professional ties, but also create a single educational space in Russian.
Opening the series of seminars, the director of the Russian Language Institute, Professor M.J. Tagaev briefly covered the issues of the functioning of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan and spoke about what measures are being taken at the state level to preserve the Russian language in the educational sphere of the republic.
Classes for Kyrgyz teachers and lecturers were conducted by specialists from the Russian language department of NCFU – head of the department, professor V.P. Khodus, associate professor V.V. Sichinava; teachers of the Department of Russian and World Literature of North Caucasian Federal University – Professor L.I. Bronskaya, Professor O.K. Strashkova, professor I.N. Ivanova. The high scientific and methodological level of the seminars allowed students to get acquainted with new methodological developments, learn about Russian and world innovations in the field of Russian studies, and discuss current issues of teaching the Russian language in both school and university subjects.
The series of seminars ended with a round table with the participation of Vice-Rector for Information and Public Relations KRSU L.I. Sumarokov and the head of the Department of International Cooperation of NCFU L.R. Aliyeva. Having positively assessed the first experience of joint work, both sides expressed a desire to continue cooperation in the field of supporting the Russian language, implementing scientific and educational projects and youth programs. Teachers and lecturers of Kyrgyzstan warmly thanked their Russian colleagues for the classes, noting the special atmosphere of mutual understanding that united a large international audience for three days.
The staff of the Russian Language Institute expresses gratitude to the leadership of the North Caucasus Federal University, the heads and teachers of the departments of Russian language, domestic and world literature of the university for their fruitful joint work, which opens up broad prospects for scientific and educational cooperation between KRSU and NCFU.
In the near future, all students will receive electronic certificates of completion of training at seminars.
