KRSU and East China Normal University discussed cooperation in the field of linguistics

On the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum 2025 in Vladivostok, a meeting was held between the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov and the deputy director of the Center for Russian Studies at East China Normal University (Shanghai), Professor Zhang Xin.

During the conversation, the parties spoke about the activities of their universities and discussed possible areas of interaction. Particular attention was paid to issues of linguistics, including the study of Chinese and Russian languages, as well as the prospects for implementing joint educational projects.

Sergei Volkov emphasized that KRSU is interested in deepening cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and developing academic contacts with Chinese partners. In turn, Professor Zhang Xin noted the importance of expanding dialogue between universities in Russia, Kyrgyzstan and China and expressed his readiness to establish working contacts between international departments of universities.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further exchange of information and preparation of proposals for the development of partnerships.
