At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, as part of a meeting of the Board of Trustees, a new practice-oriented platform began operating — Student Design Bureau. The project was implemented with the support of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and the construction company «Irbis-Kurulush».The Bureau is created as a working environment for students of engineering, architecture and construction study programs, where they can participate in real design tasks, develop technical solutions, prepare design documentation and work with industry cases under the guidance of teachers and practitioners.Cooperation with the St. Petersburg university provides methodological and expert support, the introduction of modern educational standards and the exchange of professional practices. The industrial partner will provide students with production tasks, internships and the opportunity to participate in existing construction projects. The new format allows you to integrate learning with practice: students gain team experience, form a portfolio of completed projects and become familiar with the requirements of employers during their studies. This increases the level of training of graduates and expands their employment opportunities. The work of the design bureau includes project sessions, consultations with specialists, participation in competitions and scientific and practical initiatives, as well as the implementation of orders from partner organizations. The best participants will be able to undergo internships at industry enterprises. The launch of the Student Design Bureau became part of the university’s systematic work to develop applied education and strengthen interaction with business and leading technical schools.
