KRSU strengthens cooperation with Kyrgyz Football Union
Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov held a working meeting with Vice-President of the Kyrgyz Football Union Nurdin Bukuev. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of sports, education and youth policy, and also agreed to begin preparing an agreement on interaction and a joint road map.
The main topics of the meeting were the development of student, school and children's and youth football, the creation of sports sections on the basis of the university, the implementation of joint projects to popularize a healthy lifestyle and involve young people in sports.
According to Sergei Volkov, KRSU considers the development of sports as one of the strategic study programs of its activities.
«It is important for us that KRSU develops not only as a leading educational and scientific center, but also as a strong sports university. We share the state course outlined by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov in the Decree "On measures for the further development of football in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024–2034.". The university is building a continuous system for involving young people in sports —starting from the KRSU School and ending with student sports», — the rector noted.
The parties paid special attention to training personnel for the sports industry. KRSU has already allocated 20 budget places in the Russian Federation in the direction «Physical Culture». The development of educational programs in the field of sports management and refereeing, student participation in projects of the Kyrgyz Football Union, including the Student Football League, as well as cooperation in the field of sports medicine were discussed.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed the development of the sports infrastructure of the future KRSU campus. The Kyrgyz Football Union expressed its readiness to provide expert support in the design of football grounds and the creation of modern sports infrastructure.
After the negotiations, the KRSU delegation got acquainted with the infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Football Union, including training fields and training facilities for young football players.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to begin preparing a cooperation agreement and a joint road map aimed at implementing projects in the field of sports, education and youth policy.
