KRSU strengthens quality control of education and accelerates the digitalization of the educational process

29 april 2026

A traditional dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, at which interim results of the work were summed up and key management decisions in the educational, scientific and administrative spheres were identified. One of the central topics was the digitalization of the educational process. The distance learning system already hosts about 130 disciplines. The university management has set a deadline of May 20 to confirm the readiness of teachers to independently postpone courses and record video lectures. In case of lack of activity, it is planned to use modern digital solutions, including artificial intelligence and digital avatar technologies, to create online courses without the participation of teachers. It is noted that this approach will speed up the implementation of educational content and optimize resources. At the same time, work on previously started video courses is being completed. A significant part of the recorded material is preserved in a number of disciplines, but in some areas it requires significant processing.Significant attention was paid to issues of academic performance and safety of the contingent. From September to April, the university expelled 106 students studying on a budget basis through admission targets, as well as 46 students from other budget programs. The bulk of deductions occurred in the first months of the school year. In this regard, deans have been instructed to strengthen control over academic performance and prevent the threshold level of deductions from exceeding 10%.The results of the interdisciplinary state exam (MIGA) were discussed. At the end of the current period, five students failed the test and are subject to expulsion. At the same time, the university is considering the possibility of additional retakes for students applying for a diploma with honors — there are 32 such students. In terms of scientific activity, the development of dissertation infrastructure was noted. The university has opened two new dissertation councils in economic areas. The management sets the goal of increasing the number of defenses of candidate and doctoral dissertations and reaching at least 20 defenses per year.Control over office work and external correspondence has also been strengthened. It is emphasized that the right to sign official documents is assigned to the university management, and all letters must be issued on registered strict reporting forms. Violation of these requirements is considered a management violation. In the field of youth policy and student government, it was noted that there are 478 elders at the university. By September 1, it is planned to introduce a system of material incentives for them. A model of targeted support is being considered, in which about 10% of elders will be able to receive a monthly stipend of 3,000 soms.As part of the personnel policy, a new head of the employment and interaction with employers direction was introduced. This area is designated as one of the priorities in terms of increasing the practice orientation of education and interaction with industrial partners.Issues of event planning and infrastructure development were discussed separately. The need to conduct all scientific and educational events strictly within the framework of the approved annual plan with the issuance of relevant orders and official invitations was emphasized. This approach will improve the quality of the organization and ensure efficient use of university resources. As a result of the meeting, a course was recorded to strengthen management discipline, digitalize the educational environment and improve the quality of the educational process.
