KRSU strengthens cooperation with EDB: modern audience opened at the Board of TrusteesAt the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, as part of a meeting of the Board of Trustees, the official opening of the branded auditorium of the Eurasian Development Bank took place on the basis of the Faculty of Economics. The project was implemented jointly with the Eurasian Development Bank and the Center for Public-Private Partnership under the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.The named audience was created within the framework of the EDB technical assistance program aimed at developing the institutional environment of public-private partnerships in Kyrgyzstan. The main goal of the initiative is to train specialists who have modern tools for investment analysis, financial modeling and management of PPP projects.The new space is equipped with multimedia equipment and is decorated in the corporate style of the bank and university. Lectures, seminars, project sessions, expert meetings and scientific and practical events on investment, infrastructure development and public-private partnerships will be held here.As part of the cooperation, the university and the bank are also holding a student research competition dedicated to public-private partnerships. The competition is implemented with the support of the Eurasian Development Bank and is aimed at developing students’ research competencies and developing a practical understanding of the mechanisms of economic growth.The purpose of the initiative is to identify talented students and involve them in studying modern tools for interaction between the state and business. Today, PPP mechanisms play a key role in the implementation of large infrastructure and investment projects both in Kyrgyzstan and in the Eurasian space. The winners receive personalized scholarships from the Eurasian Development Bank.The opening of the classroom and the launch of the competition program strengthen the practice-oriented training of students of economic study programs. Students have the opportunity to work with applied cases, participate in specialized projects and interact with experts in the financial and investment sector.The Eurasian Development Bank is a multilateral development institution implementing investment projects in the Eurasian space.
