The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University has signed agreements with one of the leading universities in Russia — St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
Head of the Russian Presidential Administration for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Igor Maslov noted that we are talking about interuniversity cooperation and a new impetus for the development of KRSU. He emphasized that the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Russia pay close attention to education issues. "We must give children from Kyrgyzstan the opportunity to receive an education that meets Russian and international standards. Young people should be able to choose and determine their future," Maslov said.
Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation: «New challenges, new tasks. We are faced with an important direction in the development of KRSU and the educational community as a whole. All this opens up new prospects for us, taking our interaction to a new level in both the educational and scientific fields. Rector of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Andrey Rudskoy spoke about the plans. "We came here to improve the level of engineering training in fraternal Kyrgyzstan. Our university has been engaged in engineering education for 125 years, so we will train top-level specialists. Work has already begun — we have submitted a list of online programs with tolerance codes and signed a roadmap. Starting tomorrow — forward," Rudskoy said.
Rector of KRSU Denis Fomin-Nilov also expressed his readiness for fruitful cooperation: «This cooperation will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and cultural values between students and teachers of the two countries, and will also strengthen long-term partnerships. I am confident that our university will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of education and science in the region thanks to this historical event».
