Category: Important events in the history of the university

In November, in the KRSU conference hall, event participants examined in detail issues of national security in the field of international relations and political stability, economic security, protection from natural threats and disasters, as well as healthcare.

The speakers introduced the participants to the results of research in the field of the national security system of the Kyrgyz Republic, trying to take into account the relevance and prospects of the issues raised. Effective methods and technologies aimed at solving existing problems were proposed, and scientifically based recommendations were given for developing a risk reduction strategy for the main threats.
Government officials took part in the opening of the round table, among whom the Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev stood out. He said that «the large-scale transformation of economic structures in recent years has been accompanied by negative trends of increasing instability in society» and noted that «popular expectations from the republic’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union have not yet been justified, but, nevertheless, the government of the Kyrgyz Republic believes that made the right decision». The Minister announced that a new strategic document will be prepared in the near future under the code name «Strategy 2030», replacing the «National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2013-2017», and the research of scientists from KRSU will undoubtedly be used in the work on it.
First Deputy Secretary of the Defense Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Oruzbaev noted the full significance of the round table. «After the dramatic events of 2010, approaches to protecting national security were seriously reconsidered. In 2013, we adopted a new military doctrine and set the task of reforming the military command and control system. In addition, a large-scale reform of all law enforcement agencies has been launched. The country's fight against corruption» has been placed at a high state level. K. Oruzbaev also noted that recently there have been very good trends in resolving border disputes between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Murat Beishenov, in turn, listed factors threatening the future of the Central Asian region. And Indira Aslanova, senior lecturer at the UNESCO Department for the Study of World Culture and Religions KRSU, conducted a review of risks in the religious sphere.
The issue of educational safety was raised by the chairman of the section «Ensuring national security in the field of health care», dean of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU Anes Zarifyan. He shared his own experience of interaction with representatives of various authorities, who forced him not to expel a stupid medical student, and posed the question bluntly: how long will the pressure on universities and schools continue, especially considering that by expelling careless students, the leadership of the faculty is saving the country from half-educated doctors who could potentially ruin more than one human life simply out of ignorance?
The chairman of another section («Protection from natural threats and disasters»), dean of the Faculty of International Relations of KRSU Salavat Usmanov admitted the existence of the problem and was upset by the zero attention to the round table from the Ministry of Education. In his specialized report, he spoke about developments that make it possible to more accurately predict landslide threats.

The round table concluded that national security should be considered taking into account three interdependent levels: the security of the citizen, the security of society and the security of the state. In the final resolution, participants noted a sufficient level of scientific potential of KRSU, especially in the field of national security.
