Round table at KRSU: prospects for scientific and innovative cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia
On February 8, 2025, a round table «Interstate scientific and innovative cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia: development prospects and priorities» was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), dedicated to the Day of Russian Science. The event was attended by representatives of KRSU, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), as well as scientists, lawyers and students.
Welcoming words were delivered by the rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov, vice-rector for international, scientific and innovation activities Ivan Kolpakov, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Kyrgyz Republic Albert Zulkharneev, Chairman of the EAEU Court Alexey Dronov (via video conference) and other experts.
The round table touched upon issues of digital transformation, legal regulation of artificial intelligence, integration processes in the post-Soviet space, security and scientific interaction within the EAEU, CSTO and CIS. The reports were presented by Advisor to the Expert Analytical Department of the CSTO PA Vyacheslav Kocharyan, Deputy Director of the EEC IT Department Rustam Dzhaparov, Doctor of Political Sciences Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov, as well as leading lawyers, economists and researchers.
Special attention is paid to youth science – in the sections, students and undergraduates of KRSU presented research on the problems of education, integration, artificial intelligence and security.
The result of the round table was the strengthening of academic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the development of joint educational and research projects.
